Analysis of the causes of the fracture of the upper chain plate of the chain plate conveyor

Chain board conveyor is used in many fields, such as hardware, casting, food, electronics, light industry, chemical industry, etc. due to the influence of
transportation environment and external forces, we often encounter chain board conveyor failure. Today, let's analyze the causes of chain board fracture with you All kinds of connecting chains used in chain conveyor are produced according to relevant scales. The breaking load is about multiple times of the tensile force that can be borne by the chain plate, and the safety factor is large. Theoretically, the chain breaking accident should not occur, but the failure rate of the connecting chain in actual use is large. The main reasons are as follows:
(1) long-term bearing of pulsating load, far lower than the breaking force, fatigue damage The fracture is generally at the transition joint between the circular arc and the straight line of the chain link;
(2) the production and manufacturing quality does not meet the standard, and the material and heat treatment level do not pass the standard;
(3) the conveyor chain is in constant contact with the chain plate conveyor trough, sprocket, material and so on during the operation, resulting in wear, while the transition joint between the circular arc and the straight line is the severe place for wear, and the bearing cross-sectional area gradually decreases, resulting in strong wear The degree of deterioration is mainly caused by the abrasion of the outer side of the straight section, the outer side of the arc section and the inner side of the link caused by the material or the slot of the chain board machine;
(4) the corrosion of the link, resulting in rust, pockmarks and peeling, reducing the cross-sectional area and the tensile strength;
(5) the chain is blocked when the iron is mixed in the material and the chain tension is broken;
(6) The conveyor chain starts frequently when it is fully loaded or overloaded, which makes the impact force borne by the conveyor chain exceed the strength limit; (7) the pre tension of the chain is insufficient and too loose, forming a pile chain, causing the chain plate to come out of the groove, causing the chain block phenomenon;
(8) the pre tension is too tight for the conveyor chain, accelerating the wear of the chain, and there is no buffer space when the chain block occurs, shortening the service life;
(9 )When the distance between chain plates is more than twice of the required distance, when the chain is transported to the head, the chain without chain plates in place cannot slide on the track of the chain plate conveyor because of the tension of the transmission chain. The next chain plate also stretches along with the chain, interferes with the head unloading device, and causes chain block, resulting in chain break;
(10) the tightness of the two chains is inconsistent, so that the load is concentrated on them In the tighter chain, thus exceeding the strength limit.
(11) The actual conveying capacity is far greater than the designed conveying capacity of the chain plate conveyor, which leads to the failure of the chain plate belt due to the deformation of the through rod and the fracture of the chain piece.
(12) when the chain plate is replaced, the chain plate is not replaced completely, but the tension caused by the failure of the chain plate is not even, which causes the fracture of the conveying chain plate.

From the above analysis, we can see that there are many factors that cause the fracture of the conveyor chain plate. Therefore, we must pay special attention to the processing, production and use to ensure that there is no problem in each link, so that the production of the chain plate conveyor can achieve work efficiency.
